Baroque diagonal, elegant, doubtful and digital.
Visitors enter into a space of fashion, a world of mistery, and move through sinous visual diagonals which create the movement of people.
The Baroque aesthetic as opposed to Renaissance art, which normally displays the movement prior to an event, Baroque chooses the most dramatic point in which the action is occurring. I am interested in that moment of transition to create the concept of the project; the esthetic of the Renaissance and the action of Baroque. Different living spaces can be experienced – an architecture that is silent but is activated when it comes in contact with people.
A retail space for young designers in the Museo del traje of Madrid, was the idea for my final project during my time at the School of Architecture. The project mixes the essence of Baroque and digitalization of our modern era, an atmosphere with light and shadow, perspective, platforms and stairs. Visitors move through the different parts of the project.
For this project I also devised virtual fitting-rooms, “Maw’tok” which allow customers to try on clothes without having to actually try them on through a digital imagery and a mechanism of glass rings that contains the clothes.

Access is available through the upper most part of the terrain, taking advantage of the slope in order to draw the eyes down diagonally which will move us through the distinguished points in the project.
A virtual showcase, a forest of fireflies, a series of mannequins, a lineal garden that is converted into a runway in the summer months, a store, a runway when which isn’t being used as such doubles as a show-space, and a café which is connected with the exterior allows access to all areas of the project.

RENOVATION PROPOSAL FOR THE AMERICAN MUSEUM'S PATIO IN MADRID.
"No trees alongside, if not, among, with, for, under, and over them"
A place filled by the qualities of nature with different environments which operate through the senses:
Smooth-dry-wet-cold-hot-light-dark-transparent-aromatic.
The main idea is to create a space of harmony and well-being, experiencing the forest through platforms which enter into it subtly, without damaging it.
To do this I recreated a typical American rainforest using species which thrive in the local
climate and in the conditions of the patio. The species were chosen by their outward
similarity to American rainforest based on visual criteria such as leaf shape, etc. The
rainforest is divided into a five layers of vegetation according to the height and the
characteristics of the species:
- Emergent trees grow above the canopy, whose leaves are resistant to high
temperatures.
- The next layer consists of large trees whose foliage and branches intertwine forming a canopy that set the stage for species of plants that are found below. In this layer species were chosen such as Lithocarpus henryi and Dicksonia Antarctica, both perennial whose shape keeps the canopy throughout the year, except in a small area where there are four deciduous trees.
- In the second and third layer are the undergrowth and the forest floor, which make up the tallest of the smaller trees, bushes and large plants.
- Species of smaller size grow on the first level such as, herbs, mosses and ferns.
Also included in the project are lianas, vines, epiphytes interspersed throughout the trees and water plants.
All vegetation beneath the canopy was chosen for its tolerance to shade.
HOUSING PROJECT FOR THE WRITER ESPIDO FREIRE.
A personal space created for a specific person, in this case, Espido Freire. This writer has over 2000 books and finding a place to put them is what started the idea for the project, which is a shelf that takes up the entire right side of the house divider. The shelf has more than 4000 lineal meters of books and holes with different uses, which you can move through on suspended walkways. Cantilevered boxes make the rooms and are projected from the shelf.
Another important part of the house are the volumes that go abroad, created to capture maximum light possible because we have a very long and narrow plot. We dwell in them both inside, like a room in the house, and out by way of terraces and intimate whether states have closed all open slats of wood or to make an overall house exhibition.
The communications area is collected in a strip of concrete containing the shelves, stairs, and moving walkways to access all the holes in the shelf that allows us to leave a free light that passes through all floors of the house to the roof.
THEATRE AND SCENERY IN A GUARDA'S HARBOUR (PONTEVEDRA)
Actually, there isn´t a stage performance in the traditional sense. It is an expressive environment that moves smoothly, stays-creating scenes in which the actors move from one place to another.
Shakespeare shows a corrupt society of greed and thirsty. He tries to teach the risks of vice, wickedness, and endows nature with a magical power to repair the damage.
The Tempest has a great dynamic concept, multiple simultaneous events happening at once. So we built this box in which are combined the different environments, a scenario representing geometric Shakespearean nature.

Everything resonates just upset the balance of things. Trees and grasses are silent but the wind and the waves resonate. The water is quiet, the wind moves and resonates. Stones are silent but if something strikes them resonate.
Each window delimit a place in to the park, trees, stones, plants, bushes, sky... We are looking each view throught the window and listening to their own sound at the same time.
